Charger’s numerous projects have included site work and concrete paving, sidewalks, school walkways and driveways, structural concrete for commercial buildings, and decorative concrete. The company has gained recognition for its work on schools commercial centers and specialized paving. The company is a pioneer and certified specialist in Pervious Concrete and pioneered the use of fiber reinforcement of concrete. We have long ago learned that fibers that float in water, float to the top of the concrete and do little to strengthen the concrete. Similarly wire mesh often sinks to the bottom of the slab and does little to strengthen the slab.
Because of this experience Charger has become the concrete subcontractor of choice with some of Florida's largest General Contractors. Recent jobs include the Safety Harbor Middle School walkways, Pervious paving of beach access streets in Indian Shores, the exposed shell sidewalks of Clearwater Beach, the Cruise Port of Tampa expansion, paving of the new Cement Distribution Center in the Port of Tampa and new walkways for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Other recent jobs include a new Pervious Concrete Parking Lot at the Nuclear facility at Oak Ridge Tennessee, Brandon Westfield Mall & Wesley Chapel District Park.
